Louis and Sarah had recently bought their first home together in Hove and what a project they undertook. The 16th century cottage needed a lot of work doing to it, both structurally and decoratively. In search of inspiration and décor ideas they originally came across Back From Black having seen our work on Instagram. Their decision was confirmed following a personal recommendation from TV personality George Clarke who we had worked with on previous properties for his show. Having spent time
at the property with them sampling, and considering their other ideas for how the rooms would look, they settled on a warm oak finish, which has lifted the ceiling and provided a more traditional feel to the property.
Having completed the downstairs rooms, we have been asked back to complete the upstairs which will once again feature as part of the George Clarke ‘Old House, New Home’ series. This was a lovely building and such a pleasure to work with a couple embarking on a significant renovation and restoration project.
